Completing the FAFSA is the first and most important step to secure the finances necessary to achieve your education goals. Not sure where to start? SRU is here to help!

    Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    • Obtain your FSA ID so that you can file the FAFSA.  You will need the FSA ID to log in to complete the FAFSA.  Parents and students must have an FSA ID.  You can complete the FSA ID process now at .
    • Spring 2025 Students: you can file the 2024-25 FAFSA at .  You will use your 2022 tax and income information.
    • Fall 2025 Students: The FAFSA form for 2025-26 is open at   You will use your 2023 tax and income information.
